It’s a big job to deliver one million books! That’s why we have Literacy Partners. Through these amazing organizations, we know that the books students across America worked so hard to earn are being delivered directly to the children who need them most.

Reach Out and Read

Doctors and nurses know that growing up healthy means growing up with books. Reach Out and Read (ROR), a nationwide nonprofit early literacy program, makes it possible for medical providers to give over 6 million books new books to American children in need at regular pediatric checkups. Doctors are also encouraged to talk to parents about the importance of reading aloud to their children. Families served by Reach Out and Read read together more often, and their children score higher on vocabulary tests and school readiness assessments.

The Eli and Abby Manning Birthing Center

This new state-of-the-art birthing center at St. Vincent's Hospital, named after Eli Manning and his wife Abby, will focus on natural childbirth and holistic care. The Birthing Center will build upon St. Vincent's strong tradition of midwifery, connecting the science and compassion that is the hospital's hallmark with a nurturing environment. The Mannings are determined to make it a special place to bring new life into the world.

Mercy Health Partners

Mercy Health Partners, as an affiliate of Catholic Healthcare Partners, strives to improve the health of communities with emphasis on people who are poor and underserved. This 100-year-old organization demonstrates behaviors reflecting its core values of compassion, excellence, human dignity, sacredness of life and service. Mercy provides free cardiac screenings for school-age children and a community outreach program that serves the elderly and homebound.

Save the Children

Founded during the Great Depression, Save the Children has spent more than 75 years helping children worldwide to survive and thrive by improving their health, education, and economic opportunities. In times of crisis, Save the Children mobilizes rapid life-saving assistance to help families recover from the effects of conflict and natural disasters. Their programs in the United States focus on early childhood education, literacy, physical activity and nutrition.

Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St.Vincent

Inspired by Indianapolis Colts Quarterback and Super Bowl MVP, Peyton Manning, Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent is a dedicated children’s hospital where young patients and families find a team of pediatric trained specialists and caregivers nationally known for treating emergencies and critical childhood illnesses. They’ll also find an environment designed to promote healing, and they’ll find the compassion and caring they need to face whatever lies ahead.

Peyton Manning's PeyBack Foundation

Peyton Manning's PeyBack Foundation knows how to "Pey it Forward". The PeyBack Foundation was established to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth by assisting programs that provide leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk. Established by Super Bowl MVP, Peyton Manning in 1999, the foundation awards funds to charities serving disadvantaged youth in Indiana, Tennessee, and New Orleans.

Eli Manning Children's Clinics at the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children

Every day thousands of Mississippi children and their families must deal with the harsh reality of illness and injury. At the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children, staff members work hard to overcome these obstacles. A critical component of health care delivery for more than 75,000 of these children is the state-of-the-art, 15,600 square foot Eli Manning Children's Clinics. Pediatricians work alongside pediatric specialists in the clinics, which offer services including well-child visits, a vaccination program and acute care in orthopedics, cardiology and endocrinology.
